Hello, my name's Dillon.

I'm a product manager with experience in healthcare, manufacturing, and advertising.

ChartPad® EHR

Product Manager / UX

ChartPad® is a SaaS electronic healthcare record system designed for long-term acute care hospitals. I served as Product Manager for ChartPad for three and a half years. As the only PM at a small tech startup, my role was all-encompassing. I was first and foremost the product owner responsible for managing the backlog and leading the development of the product. Not only did I conduct all requirement gathering, but, as PM, I also handled most of the UX. Additionally, I served as the lead marketer and educator for ChartPad, conducting countless demos and training seminars during my tenure. When it was time for a new rollout, I was on the hospital floor leading the charge. I have slept in a vacant hospital bed on more than one occasion!

When I exited the company in 2018, ChartPad was the EHR for 8 hospitals in four states, coordinating the care for more than 350 critically ill patients every day.

Patient App

Product / UX

A surgical group approached our company about building an engagement app for their patients. They wanted to closely monitor each patient's post op progress to minimize the chance of an expensive emergency readmission.

As the product lead, I worked with the client to clarify their business objectives and understand the problems we needed to solve. Through meetings with their surgical team and a pair of recovering patients, I distilled the core user stories and, from them, designed a set of high-fidelity wireframes. Application features included telepresence, patient assessment tools, and appointment reminders. Given the app’s user base would be older adults, I focused on keeping the UI simple and clean, with generous touch space.

Unfortunately, due to financial constraints on the part of the client, the app never made it into development.

Trade Show App

Project Manager / UX / Developer

Our agency's largest client needed an app for the iPad kiosks used at their trade shows. After establishing the use cases and exploring off-the-shelf options, we determined that a custom solution presented the best avenue for success. Working with the client, I developed a set of functional wireframes that our visual design team transformed into a stunning interface. Via HTML, CSS, and some JS, I brought the app to life, and then personally oversaw the installation and inaugural deployment at a national trade show.

This app won a Gold Addy for best interactive project.

ERP Dashboard

Solo Project

Company leadership was frustrated with the difficulty of pulling critical business data out of their ERP. As their inhouse marketing and technology consultant, I knew the ERP’s API presented the opportunity to create a custom interface that would largely solve this problem. After establishing the core use cases, I rapidly developed a functioning proof of concept that the executive team could beta-test and provide feedback from. Following a few rounds of revisions, we arrived at a lightweight, responsive dashboard that brought the company's real time order forecast into clear focus.

Ecommerce

Product Manager / Developer

ViperCables.com is the primary storefront for a new ecommerce venture launched in 2019. The customer wanted a D2C sales pipeline to complement their core B2B channels. This new platform needed a bidirectional interface with their existing ERP system, so orders and inventory data would sync in real time.

Because the scope of work for this project was substantial, I contracted out the UX and web development to a third party. This allowed me to focus exclusively on the API integrations, backend fulfillment procedures, and the readying of the product catalog (photos, copy, and data).

Memory Game

Solo Project

One of the things I like most about web development is the freedom it gives you to build your own little apps and games. I was inspired to build this web-based tile matching game after playing tabletop memory with my nephew. It's such a simple premise, but, with a nice selection of tile sets, kids can get a lot of mileage out of it.

I love iconography and every time I run across a neat glyph family or icon set on the web, I try to grab it. One of these days I’ll add them all!

How's your memory?

Marketing

Strategy / Creative / Execution

I've done a lot of marketing over the years. I've worked on a multinational brand as part of a team, and have functioned as a one-man marketing agency for smaller companies. I know the ins and outs of digital advertising, email marketing, SEO, web design and video production. One of things that makes me unique is my ability to take a strategy all the way from concept to execution, fulfilling every role along the way.

Here are a few of the marketing platforms I'm experienced with:
